Ashleigh grew up swimming and is currently attending the University of Victoria where she studies Political Science and competes for the varsity swim team. Some of Ashleigh's swimming achievements include:
- Qualified and competed a USports Championships - 2025, 2026
- Qualified and competed at the Canada West Championships - 2022, 2024, 2025
Ashleigh has multiple years' coaching experience, most recently with the Bedford Beavers Swim Team in Nova Scotia. Ashleigh loves being in and around the pool and looks forward to designing and implementing effective training programs for a range of age groups and skill levels.
Ashleigh has completed the NCCP Swimming 101 coursework and the SafeSport BC course.
Ashleigh joined the JDF Royals in 2026.
Olivia started her swimming career with the Abbotsford Whalers in 2016, where her passion for the sport developed, particularly in the 100-meter breaststroke. She began coaching in early 2021 during the Fall and Winter Maintenance sessions and then transitioned to the Summer Competitive season that same year. In 2025 she took on the role of Assistant Coach.
Olivia is a coach who emphasizes the significance of creating a positive atmosphere where all athletes feel motivated to improve while supporting their teammates. Her main goals are to emphasize proper technique, encourage sportsmanship, and discover each athlete's passion for swimming!
In addition to swimming, Olivia has a National Lifeguard Certification and has completed both the NCCP Making Ethical Decisions and SafeSport BC courses. She is CPR-C and Standard First Aid Certified.
Olivia joined the JDF Royals in 2026.
Peyton has been swimming competitively for over 10 years. He is currently attending University of Victoria where he studies economics and competes for the varsity swim team. He has volunteered with the Nanaimo Riptides Swim Team where he assisted and mentored younger swimmers. Some of Peyton’s swimming achievements include:
- Several top 10 finishes at USports Championships – 2026
- Medalist and several top 10 finishes at Canada West Championships – 2025
- Qualified and competed at Team Canada trials - 2025
- Performance Award recipient (Nanaimo Riptides) – 2025
- Holds several club records for the Nanaimo Riptides
Peyton is very passionate about swimming and he is excited about the opportunity to help younger athletes grow their confidence, improve their skills, and develop the same love for the sport that he has.
Peyton has completed the SafeSport BC course.
Peyton joined the JDF Royals in 2026.
Kieran has been swimming competitively for 10 years at national and international meets across Canada. He grew up in Langford and is now attending University of Victoria where he studies Chemistry and Ocean Science and competes for the varsity swim team. Some of Kieran’s swimming achievements include:
- Qualified and competed at Canada West University Championships – 2025
- Qualified and competed at Team Canada trials – 2025
- Qualified and competed at Canadian junior Swimming Championships – 2022 – 2024
- Winner of Spirit PCS Award, awarded for outstanding enthusiasm, dedication and commitment within the team (Pacific Coast Swimming) – 2023
- Multi-year provincial medalist
Kieran has volunteered with the Victoria Vikes doing private swim lessons and as a coach for Belmont High School.
Kiran is very passionate about swimming and looks forward to helping connect and guide a younger generation of swimmers to see what they can achieve.
Kieran has completed the SafeSport BC course.
Kieran joined the JDF Royals in 2026.
Drew swam competitively for 15 years both nationally and internationally with the Edmonton Keyano Swim Club and the University of Victoria Vikes until his retirement in 2026. He is currently attending the University of Victoria, completing a post-degree Bachelor of Education. Some of his swimming achievements include:
- Qualified and competed at the USports Championships – 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2026
- Qualified and competed at the Team Canada trials – 2017 to 2019, 2022, 2024, and 2025
- Multi-year provincial medalist at the BCSSA Provincial Championships – 2024, 2025, 2026
Drew has over five years’ coaching experience, most recently with the Oak Bay Orcas, building relationships with parents and swimmers to ensure the utmost success and participation at practice and swim meets.
Drew was nominated by his peers to act as the Vancouver Island Regional Coaches co-Representative for the 2025/2026 season and has been re-elected for the 2026/2027 season.
Drew is NCCP Swimming 101 trained and has completed the SafeSport BC course. He is CPR/AED Level C and Standard First Aid Certified.
