Hi Royals Families!

We are writing to provide you with some coaching updates as we prepare to finish off the Winter Maintenance season and enter the Summer Competitive Season (can we believe it's here already?!).

New Coach

We are excited to announce that we have hired a new coach, Ashleigh McKenna, for the summer season. Ashleigh is a University of Victoria student and is an accomplished addition to the UVIC varsity swim team. She grew up swimming and  has past experience coaching all age groups for a summer team in her home town in Nova Scotia. We are excited to see what she can add to our already excellent coaching roster!

In order to help Ashleigh get acquainted with the swimmers and practices, she will will start attending practices during the shutdown (which runs from March 30 to April 19 - see previous emails for alternate schedules during this time). Just a reminder there will be no regular practice this Sunday, March 29 as the Fun Meet is scheduled from 7:45 - 10am.

Johanna's Departure

In addition, coach Johanna has advised that she will be ending her time with us a few weeks early. Her last day will be April 12, 2026. We thank Johanna for her contributions to the club over this past winter and wish her the best in the future.
